Incorperating HDR into renders: 1

Something which I have been interested in is High Dynamic Range and how this can be incorperated into digital photography and more interestingly; digital renders.

” HDRI (High Dynamic Range Imagery) or HDR is a series of techniques that allow a greater active range of luminios intensity between the lightest and darkest areas of an image, than standard digital imaging techniques or photographic methods.

This wider dynamic range allows HDR images to more accurately represent the wide range of intensity levels found in real scenes, ranging from direct sunlight to faint starlight. “

This can be achieved in digital photography by taking several photos with different exposure settings:

These images below show the above after being merged into HDR with minor adjustments.

(Please not these photos with different aperture settings have not been taken by me they are examples of HDR in photography)
