Incorporating HDR into renders: 2

Ok, so after the previous post explaining briefly what HDR is, I want to look to incorporate this into my Studio Max renders.

In 3D computer graphics this process is known as HDRR (High Dynamic Range Rendering (HDRR or HDR Rendering), or also known as High Dynamic Range Lighting as it the rendering of computer graphic scenes.

(Please note the render passes shown below have not been done by me they are examples of the technique I am looking to learn)

HDR can be replicated in renders by rendering passes with different illumination properties, or effects such as ambient occlusion.
